we gave ivy a name and a blessing this month- and we were lucky to have lots of family and friends here to celebrate this event with us. here is how we spent the day...
the meeting was awesome. cade gave ivy a fabulous blessing. he blessed her that she would embrace charity and strive to serve those around her. he blessed her to know that what the Lord thinks about her is the most important thing- and to have confidence in His commandments and in herself. he blessed her with health and strength (which is something that this little one especially has needed thus far in life) and for many other important qualities. i truly am thankful to cade for offering such a beautiful blessing.
afterward, we all headed over to our house for food and chatting. each age group found their niche for socializing. the teens found violet's room:
the adults stayed in the main room:
and you better believe the kids found the man cave:
ivy was just a peach this whole time. she snoozed on and off, sometimes waking up to see who was loving on her.
we are so thankful to our family and friends who came to support us. it was fun catching up with everyone and enjoying time together.
cade and i couldn't be more thrilled to have little ivy here with us.

That is the prettiest blessing dress I have ever seen. She looks beautiful (with or without the dress :)!
P.S. Your house looks so cute! I want to come see inside it. Love your decorating scheme.
